Dream Big, Achieve Small – Bite Size Tips

How will this increase my confidence?

 

Stephen R Covey (The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People), once said “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”. It’s not the massive action we take, or the huge ‘goodwill’ gesture that we occasionally partake in. It’s the small things that when taken individually, mean nothing, but carried out every day, become your catalyst to greatness. This applies to building your confidence, as much as anything else.

 

Cool, I’m ready to start! How does it work?

 

Also, to quote Steven R Covey again “You have to water the flowers you want to grow.”

That, in essence is what these short Bite-Size posts are all about.

Over the coming months, I’ll be occasionally giving you small bite-size tips, that’ll help improve your life. Just make sure you do remember to do them 🙂

confidence cup imageI won’t give you anything major to do here, and nothing is time consuming, or world changing. Just little things that generally only take anywhere from a few seconds, to maybe a couple of minutes to do. But, doing them can make a world of difference to your general confidence, self-esteem and the way you look at life.

In fact, your action step today – get yourself a notebook, so you can record every time you complete the exercises. Personally, I keep a record of my daily activities in my Bullet Journal. For me, it’s a great way to build commitment.

You could even make a note of how it made you feel each time you completed the tasks each day?

That way, you’re not only taking part, but your learning how your emotions are changing as you get more proficient.

Also, you’ll get used to seeing a chain of completed days and that’ll give you even more motivation to continue!

Now, you might feel some of the coming exercises are too difficult for you at the moment. That’s fine, just continue everyday with the ones you can do. Very soon your confidence will allow you to tackle the more difficult ones easily.

Remember…. baby steps in the beginning, not giant leaps 😉

 

When does all this confidence building start?

 

It starts next Week (Jan 11th 2017). Every Wednesday I’ll post with a small action step and short example(s) of what to do. Try if you can, to carry out the action as soon as possible after understanding what you need to do.

Tony Robbins made a great point of reminding everyone that “You should never leave the setting of a goal, without doing something towards its achievement”. So again, it’s best to start as soon as possible and then keep momentum.
